Rotary was founded on fellowship, and developing relationships with club members continues to be a focus of Rotary Clubs.  Rotarians enjoy the privilege of attending club meetings all over the world and establishing friendships that last a lifetime.  With over 30,000 Rotary Clubs on Earth, the opportunity to make new friends is tremendous.
 
PROFESSIONAL NETWORKING
Rotary is a great way to network and meet people with jobs in business, human services and virtually every career one can imagine. 
 
SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES
What binds Rotarians together is a common desire to do good in the world.  Rotary provides avenues to provide positive impact to service programs that address such concerns as health care, food insecurity, poverty, literacy, and the environment. Rotarians experience the fulfillment that comes from giving back to the community. 
 
 
CITIZENSHIP IN THE COMMUNITY
Rotary clubs keep members informed about what is taking place in the community, nation, and world and provides avenues to making a difference.  Local clubs set their goals for the projects for which they are most passionate and work collaboratively to make positive change.
 
YOUTH AND FAMILY
Rotary organizations often charter Interact clubs for middle and high school students and Rotoract clubs for ages 18 and up to help them develop a life dedicated to providing service to others.  Those ages 15-17 may get to participate in Rotary Youth Exchange, which affords these adolescents to travel abroad to learn about other cultures and other languages.   Additionally, many families have multiple members in Rotary clubs or enlist the assistance of family members to make Rotary projects more successful, which makes Rotary a great way to strengthen family bonds.
 
FUN
Rotary is fun!  Through service projects, social events, meetings and community actions, Rotary provides many opportunities to laugh, experience new activities and enjoy the company of others.
 
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
Rotarians learn to motivate, influence and lead leaders.  Rotary empowers members to lead others to impact their community in a positive way.  Through programs like the “Rotary Leadership Institute” and “Rotary Youth Leadership Awards”, Rotary is creating leaders in our community and around the globe.
 
INTERNATIONAL AND CULTURAL AWARENESS
You can find Rotary clubs in over 200 countries & geographical areas, Rotarians gain an understanding of humanitarian issues through international service projects and exchange programs. One of Rotary’s highest objectives is to build goodwill and peace throughout the world.  Through the myriad of programs Rotarians engage, members learn much about the cultural norms, customs and struggles that impact people throughout the world.
 
ASSOCIATION WITH A GROUP OF THE HIGHEST ETHICAL STANDARD
To be a successful Rotarian, one must rise to the highest measure of ethical standards.  Every project in which a Rotary club engages, must meet the measure of the Four-Way Test, which is as follows:

2) Is it FAIR to all concerned?
3) Will it BUILD GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
4) Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

What bonds Rotarians together is a unified vision of making the world a better place.  Through our programs and activities members gain access to experiences not otherwise possible.  These experiences may lead to better relationships, better business experiences and great personal growth.  By concentrating on Rotary’s areas of focus, there is virtually no situation that can’t be improved by the action of the action of Rotary.
