Several clubs participated in different Walk to End Alzheimer’s events, put on by the Alzheimer’s Association, throughout the Hudson Valley this month. Clubs with registered teams included: Suffern, Clarkstown, North Rockland, Nanuet, West Nyack/Nanuet, Highland, Lake Mahopac, Wallkill East, Liberty, Monticello, Port Jervis, Red Hook, New City and Walden.
Throughout the nation, Rotary clubs raised $287,868 to combat the disease. Our district’s very own Suffern Club raised the third highest total of funds of all clubs in the country, at almost $11,000, a tremendous accomplishment!
Overall, it was an amazing effort by all clubs involved.
