My Dear Rotary Friends,

As we enter into the 5th month of this new Rotary year, I would like to wish everyone a safe and healthy upcoming holiday season. We are all doing our best to conduct our lives and Rotary service as usual, despite the challenges we have with the pandemic. Thanks to all of you who are not only existing, but thriving in this climate. Rotarians rise and don't shrink from challenges!

Each month Rotary International has a theme for the month and we just finished an amazing community service month with our District Service day focused on collecting warm coats for those in need in our communities. Conservative estimates indicate that over 4,000 coats were collected by about 25 clubs. Thanks to Service Chair Judy Siegel for coordinating efforts and thank all those clubs for those extraordinary efforts!

November is Rotary Foundation Month, and to celebrate, we invite you to view this Rotary Foundation Video which shows that OUR Rotary Foundation is how Rotarians create lasting change across the globe, in our communities and in ourselves.  In District 7210, we encourage you to immediately achieve the first step of our Every Rotarian Every Year Giving Challenge by clicking the “Donate” button on the Rotary Foundation’s Annual Fund page to donate $25, $100, or more in your name to the Annual Fund (the forms will autocomplete your personal information if you sign-in to MyRotary.org first).  Please direct any Foundation related questions to our District Foundation Chair Louis Turpin at

By the end of this week, 53 out of the 55 club visits will have been completed, and I would like to thank all Presidents and members who have graciously received my message of GROWING ROTARY. We were up 10 net new members last month and as of this writing, we are up net new 3. I realize this is an organic process of growth and there will be ebbs and flows. I ask all clubs continue to focus on new membership and I know there are several clubs that have new members in the pipeline. If you have inducted a new member or members, please make sure they are entered into Clubrunner or directly into My Rotary if you do not have a Clubrunner account.

We are very close to chartering a new Passport club in our District, which will add approximately 17 net new members. Many thanks to DGN Larry Palant and soon to be President Samantha Alveranga for their leadership and persistence. They have the required 20 new charter members and we will petition RI very soon for their certificate.

Our GROW ROTARY committees are all meeting and doing well. All of the committees are looking for members to join. They are: Membership- Chair Larry Palant, Public Image- Chair Jacob Lerner, Think Differently (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion)- Chair Earl Miller and Foundation Giving - Chair Louis Turpin. Please contact those chairs if you are interested in joining or me. Membership is the lifeblood of Rotary, and we will continue to focus on bringing in new Rotarians and retaining those currently in our ranks.

We are also seeking more members on our Youth Committee chaired by Cindie Kish and Service Committee chaired by Judy Siegel.

We have much to be thankful for in Rotary and in our great District. As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, think of those less fortunate than us and what way you can assist those people individually and collectively. Rotary calls us to make the world a better place and what better way than to assist those in need in our communities and around the world!

Many blessings to you and your families and thank you for all you you do in the name of Rotary!

With Much Rotary Love and Admiration,
DG Tony
