Dear Fellow Rotarians,

As the 2020/2021 Rotary year draws to a close, I want to thank everyone for their efforts, passion and resilience during the challenges presented in the past 12-15 months. We, as a District, not only survived, but we thrived, advancing Rotary in our communities and internationally.

The RI theme of "Rotary Opens Opportunities" set the stage for GROWING ROTARY and truly committing to adding new members in our Clubs. As of this writing, 30 clubs added net new members, and we were fortunate to have our new Passport Club chartered this year. Overall, we have added 61 net new members, and I know there are clubs who have new members in the pipeline! We were one of the highest Districts in our Zone 32 this year in ADDING NET NEW members!

We created a new Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee called Think Differently, and expanded the club member participation in the Public Image, Foundation Giving, Membership, Youth, Community Service and Membership Committees. Almost 80 club members participated in District wide committees this year!

We greatly increased our Rotary International Foundation giving this year by over 90% through club efforts, and 4 new Clubs became 100% Paul Harris Fellow Clubs giving us a total of 5. Again, 7210 led our Zone in these RI Foundation achievements!

None of these accomplishments were attainable without your clubs receiving the message and responding so positively. Your clubs have ENGAGED despite the pandemic, and all of the challenges presented became OPPORTUNITIES to serve and help those in need during this crisis. Rotarians are truly PEOPLE OF ACTION!

I would like to thank the District Executive Board for their steadfast leadership, the current Assistant Governors, the Committee Chairs, the Club Presidents and officers who served this year, and all 1683 members in our 56 clubs for their contributions this year.

With the new Rotary year coming up on July 1, I would ask that we keep the momentum going and that you all support our new District Governor Mike Polasek, and his team of Assistant Governors, and Committee chairs. Congratulations and thank you to the new Presidents and Officers that will be leading us to greater heights. Great accomplishments are ahead for 7210!

It was an honor and privilege to serve as District Governor in 2020/2021 and I look forward to continuing to contribute to the Clubs and District in any way I can.

Please celebrate this year with us and welcome in the New Rotary year on June 24 at 6pm at Nostrano Vineyards at 14 Gala Lane, Milton, NY, 12547.
